I give you compliments all the time, because you deserve them. But someone else gives you the same one... and you make a Facebook status about it? I guess my compliments mean nothing.
I know this exact feeling... and I'm fairly certain I know who this is about. And I will tell you right now that I have felt this way about this exact person before. Like, they don't seem to care about things you say or your efforts, but then somebody else does the exact same thing and they go "wheeeee!" about it.
I know I sound slightly bitter about it, but I have been there. And as for your compliments meaning nothing, I would disagree... I always look forward to hearing what you have to say, and hearing anything you have to say (whether it be a compliment or not) means a lot to me. It reminds me that there are people out there who do care.
