Beauty: that quiet, still feeling before the storm. That smell... you can smell the rain long before it hits the ground. Nothing like turning up the music and rolling down the windows, and driving through that warm air. Absolutely nothing like it.

  1. Duuuuude. You would have loved it in Saudi. About once every six months, it monsoons, and you can feel it long before the actual rain. Then when it starts, it's like one of those magical scenes from films where the heavens truly do OPEN and rain just galumphs everywhere. People have to sweep the water out of the streets because there are no drains. Everything floods and there's always a few inches of water for a little while. But those moments before--oh, the tension kills me.

  2. I would love to go, regardless of the tension over there. I don't ever want fear to prevent me from doing anything, as stupid as that sounds. Less specifically though, I really just want to travel. And if seeing an awesome storm motivates that, so be it. :3
